Alex works with men who’ve spent years being “the strong one” — at work, at home, in every room they enter — and are ready for something more than pushing through. If the anxiety that used to be background noise has been getting louder, if intrusive thoughts or rituals are taking up more space than feels okay, or if a decision or a life transition has been sitting heavier than it should, Alex helps clients get underneath what’s actually going on.
Alex specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that helps clients fully process what’s stuck — not just manage symptoms around it — so old patterns stop running the show. He also draws on CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based techniques depending on what a client needs. His focus areas include trauma, anxiety and OCD, and men’s issues specifically, along with support through major life transitions — career changes, divorce, new fatherhood, or any shift that doesn’t come with a roadmap.
In addition to his work with adults, Alex also provides EMDR therapy for children (generally age 9 and up, once they’re able to articulate their experience), supporting kids working through anxiety, trauma, and difficult life events.
